Grundy County saw 20 speeding tickets issued in October 2012 through the Fine Collection Center (FCC). This was 89th out of all Missouri counties and 62nd per capita. Most Grundy County speeding tickets were issued for speeds of 6-10 mph and 11-15 mph over the posted limit. The relatively low number of tickets issued in Grundy County is probably due to there only being one major highway (US-65) running through Trenton and the more rural areas of Grundy County.

After an FCC speeding ticket is issued in Grundy County, the motorist will have 30 days to either pay the fine or notify the FCC that they wish to challenge the ticket and have their day in court. You can access the FCC’s website here. Payment of a fine is also considered a guilty plea and will cause a conviction to be placed on the driver’s record and 3 points to be added to the license. A conviction of a speeding ticket also causes many insurance companies to raise a motorists’ rates.
